I know I shouldn't be asking for advice on HC, but I want as many opinions as possible. I'm thinking the safest thing to do is do nothing for the next year or so.

Yep - if you bought your shares a month ago, then you will get your LLL shares.

And if you hold all your shares (both companies), then that will be the safest thing to do - you 'certainly' won't lose money if you simply hold both companies for the next year or so .
