This Lilly trial is a tragedy. A waste of clinical resources. It should have been stopped a year ago for futility when the FDA biostatisticians openly criticized the heavily mined results. There was never a signal there. Tragic waste of 2100 people in a trial which was futile. They should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention all the money wasted on an ineffective drug.
