The point is that they are going by the system. The current system allows them to continue to be doing what they are doing. And that is to borrow shares temporarily to cover their shorts, only to be restart it all over again.
If it wasn't all legal, they wouldn't be doing it at all. PERIOD!!
And don't forget that, for those shorts, many of them, if not all of them, would have shorted CDU when the shares were at $6 and $7 dollars and, if they were ever going to cover, they would still be a mile in front, (""ALL AT OUR EXPENSE"") of course.
