I have just been going over some of the history of QGL, our graphite neighbours.
Well worth the exercise in understanding LML's potential.
In so many ways the companies are very similar.
It was also interesting to see how its share price has risen.
Just over 3 years ago their share price was 2.7c compared to 67.5c today.
They have a Market Cap of $227M
If we had a Market Cap that big our share price would be 16.5c
One of QGL's challenges is the size of their deposit, grades at Uley 3 are very disappointing.
As the drill results for Uley 3 came out in 2021 it would not surprise me if this is what prompted the takeover bid for LML.
By the time we get to May 2024 we will have a significantly bigger resource and a feasibility study probably for a larger 70,000tpa mine which will reduce costs and increase returns compared to QGL
So the potential for a significant rerating is huge.
Today and tomorrow, investors will be attending the presentations they want to see, will be banging around the exhibition area visiting the different booths, including Lincoln's booth. While some investment decisions in companies like Lincoln will happen on a whim, others will spend time with Lincoln at their booth and will spend a more hours doing further research. Notes will be compared with mates over drinks, and investment decisions made over the coming days.
Will be watching trading today as I suspect some first movers from the conference will be keen to get a few.
