For all intents and purposes they are one and the same.Which is why you need to do a "weighted average" to work out the value of the entire company and all the shares once they are merged.
The weighted average right now is about 3.37 cents per share.
To assume that LMLND will suddenly jump say 3 cents (2 cents to 5 cents) to match LML upon a failed QGL bid implies that you believe the company will instantly jump $24 Millions dollars in market cap overnight (800M shares X 3cps).
I don't think that's going to happen.
The market has had plenty of time to assess the MC of the merged entity and right now it says it's worth $46M in total so it won't jump to $70 million simply based on LML/LMLND merging in my opinion.
More likely is the merged LML shares will open the next day after the merge at the weighted average of the 2 shares.It may well jump on other news and developments but that is an unknown and a risk.
Normally I don't post on stocks I don't own but I found this one fascinating and I'm just trying to help inexperienced investors assess the information and the facts before thinking they will make an instant 150% or more (based on the current SP of LML and LMLND). If they still think LMLND is a good buy at current prices, then go for it. It may prove to be a great buy but I'm a little cautious with my buying lately.
