Thanks Dicky100 for clearing up some details of this rather complex deal that is on offer. Yes on re-reading the asset sale announcement(which I should have done before posting) clearly SLR are prevented from participating in the "in-specie" consideration of their own shares. Conversion only occuring after the two seperate deals are approved and SLR shares allocated to eligible holders.

It makes the rejigged offer look a little fairer with the cash from discounted conversion prices along with the SLR shares matching the initial merger value to PRH holders. Which makes good sense.

However, although clearly there is significant value in the deal for those buying today at 18 cents if the SLR deal goes through it is far cry from what the majority of shareholders would be satisfied with.
