I bought into linc for the GTL future, the sale of surplus coal assets was an unexpected bonus that meant that linc did not have to go out to market or do a share issue to get capital. The GFC was an unexpected kick in the pants that had to have linc question moving ahead with developing a major GTL plant in that climate.

Picking up what Linc saw as cheap US oil and coal assets was in PB's mind the best way forward for the company. Yes the share price has taken a beating, but if PB can pull this off and there is no reason in my mind to suggest that it cannot be done, then we will be in an extraordinary good position to perhaps to float off some of these divisions or fund the GTL ourselves. In the meantime linc has lots of things on the go that could kick the share price along. I will continue to watch with interest.
