lnc investor and sufferer

Dear All,
New to HC and stock trading and my first post. I have heavily invested in LNC all the way from $2.8 to $1.15 until I exhausted all my money. My average stands at $2 with about 250k shares purchased. Not sure how long I am stuck with this stock. Why is this stock getting punished more than others when there is some much happening. I have been following the posts in this forum and I see different opinions. I am not a day trader and do not use charts.
Hoping for some true insights into the situation both positive and negative from people with knowledge on the company. I wonder why the price is so low when the bond money could be raised at $3.4 per share.
I am sure there may be a lot of people like me in this situation.
