    ANZ may or may not have completely exited MEE, but they are definatly no longer a substantial shareholder which means that even if their selling is not completely over it almost is, which is good enough for me.

    Any MEE shareholder can find out how many shares ANZ still has throught the share registry.

    The division of ANZ that now owns all the opes shares is one of their lending divisions. Their only objective now is get as much cash out of the market as quickly as possible. That divison is not in the business of managing investments.

    The divison of ANZ that you see as a major shareholders in listed companies is more than likely be their asset management arm which is playing a completely different game, they are all about managing equity market risk and investing OTHER PEOPLE'S money... not ANZ's own capital which is what is being recovered buy the opes selling.
