Thanks for your post Ex. It certainly highlights what our team is up agsinst: 'Ultimately, whichever way you look at it – the fistfight for offtake agreements, both within and beyond North America, would determine which U.S. LNG project makes it or not. Its highly likely many will not'.
Having IDG in our corner has to give us a big advantage in both exposure to Asian (Chinese) buyers and in getting a deal/s signed. I get the feeling that with so many options out there the potential customers are waiting to see which project will attract other buyers. Reinforces the notion that if one BTA is signed then others will follow quite rapidly. The current trade spat is giving them the opportunity/excuse to sit back and stall on negotiations - for now. Would be nice to think that a resolution to the trade issue in Feb will see us secure our first BTA by end of Mar 19 (maybe for 6mtpa to get FID sorted). From there it's onwards and upwards. One can only dream.....Happy New Year. Fd
