Since Fukushima, only a handful of Japan's nuclear reactors are online and these only account for a few percent of energy production - the bulk coming from fossil fuels. Even when their targeted ramp up of nuclear is in full swing (in the next 10 years or so), nuclear energy will only account for 20% of their requirements.
