I think I'm missing something here.
Trump imposes a 10% tariff (moving to 25%) on Chinese imported goods. Tariff is a fancy word for tax in my opinion. It will be the American consumer who ends up paying this tax, no?

Now granted I have not looked at the list of products where this tax has been applied but the only ways around it are to import from a company that doesn't have tariffs or buy from made in USA supplier. Both are obviously going to be more expensive than the original Chinese import.

It might make the government's books look better, but I don't think its actually helping the American people.
