Rajuncajun27 Fantastic news, thanks for posting.
Looking at what’s been said and trying to piece together what can’t be said, it sounds to me like the big three in Asia, China, Korea and Japan are all buyers looking to sign 20 year deals, however China will not sign until the Tariffs issues with them are resolved, I think this is why Micah is saying a final investment decision could be made with 6 million tons per year secured (China being the remaining 2 million tons per year to be signed at a later date.)
From Lake Charles paper: ---
“The big three in Asia, China, Korea, Japan, are all looking to buy,” Vesey said.
Vesey said interested buyers will sign a 20-year deal at a specific rate. The facility will produce 8 million tons of LNG per year.
Micah Hirschfield, LNG Ltd. senior manager of communications and investor relations, said a final investment decision could be made with 6 million tons per year secured.
