In its recent conference call (11 Aug 2011) as well as its 15 August 2011 conference presentation, Interoil stated that it has ?dedicated 0.3mtpa LNG to the Philippines power project with Energy World Corporation?. Interoil presents this 0.3mtpa LNG as part of its achieved LNG offtake agreements of 1.3mtpa (1mtpa is with the Noble Group as per its HoA). It seems to me that this allocation of 0.3mtpa to the Philippines power plant (to be built by EWC as well as its LNG Hub in the Philippines) indicates that this project is perhaps further advanced.

As far as the LNG project in PNG is concerned, clear signs are emerging (including Interoil's already incurred and allocated expenditure, explicit support by new PNG Prme Minister, presentation of development plan, integrated timetable and econmic models to PNG departments,draft gas agreemtns with the state, PDL licence application and environmental studies near completion, site specific engineering for EWC modular lng trains almost complete etc that this project will reach FID by end of year 2011

Interesting to note too that Interoil share price has risen some US$12 in the past 3 days (from US$54 to US$66).
