Dave I believe that if you can be self funded you should rather than be lazy and use the tax payer to fund your retirement because there are people out there disabilities that can't work or fund their retirement and should be supported by the government. I like many others self fund don't rely on the government tit like you and that leaves more government funds to be distributed to needy people sure I could have used smoke and mirrors to hide assets and get a part pension and many do this but to me that's cheating ,all it takes is will power Dave and a little brain power its not that hard. Australia never should have gone down the superannuation path we should have a universal pension and all pay a levy based on our wages and pay tax on what we earn above that level when rules get complex there are to many ways to cheat.
