"it took 9 years plus covid to recover the budget from the last Alp govt incompetents.". .... just a few questions:

• what did the Libs fix from the Labs legacy?
• they didn't announce they were "fixing" anything
• how much of Labor debt (from the GFC expenditure with kept the country out of recession) did the Libs pay off?
• how did the Libs doubt the Govt debt in just 2 years when there was no budgetary crisis?
• what happened to Hockey's "debt and deft disaster"? --- they increased the deficits and doubled the debt.

when the Libs increased "necessary" expenditures such as the unregulated NDIS blowing out the budget enormously and the stupid AUKUS contract to the US/UK as well as the necessary repairs to the failed Morrison govt budgets, of course we're heading back to deficits. another major factor in future budgets are the stimulus fiscal spending that will be necessary to boost productivity. this won't show a +ve for at least 5 years.
