inflation is a movable feast for retailers. they can put up their prices with impunity and its very difficult for the ACCC to prove such is done for the profit motive.

but what is this "and people take whats coming to them"? what it is you expect we people to take?

imo the RBA are doing their best to manage inflation cautiously. its more precarious in Aus because most people are on variable rate mortgages, unlike the rotw. so movements on interest rates impact mortgagees harder than in other countries.

its a very delicate matter getting inflation down without killing the economy.
