In this recent ABC article it shows what Albo had said and he had obviously made his mind up before any due process aswell that Pep-11 wouldn't go ahead.
His words below...
At a press conference on the New South Wales Central Coast in November 2021, then opposition leader Anthony Albanese was clear on Labor's stance.
"Absolutely, we will stop PEP-11 going ahead, full stop. Exclamation mark. No question. Not equivocal. No ifs, no buts," he said.
However in the same article it says.....
" The Albanese government and Asset Energy have now agreed to end that court action, asking the court to vacate Mr Morrison's decision.
A decision on the project will then rest with a joint authority made up of both the Commonwealth and NSW governments. And the Commonwealth has indicated it will allow New South Wales to consider its position first."
Why does Albo waste our taxpayer dollars so much? If he knows Pep-11 won't be approved as he has stated why waste all the tax payer money and court time to vacate ScoMo's decision and have a big spend up over nothing and for no productive reason?
We could use those taxpayer dollars elsewhere, theres much bigger priorities than this waste of time and monies imo and the only reason i can see for Labor doing this is for a tax payer funded smear campaign against ScoMo.
ScoMo and Labor agreed on the Pep-11 topic, both leaders of the main parties that represent Australians agreed, i imagine the Greens wouldn't like it either, it's just an absolute waste of taxpayers money Albo's call to the court to vacate ScoMo's decision and then go through all the procedures and get the same result, just ridiculous imo.
