Anyone, with even just a speck for a brain, can tell it's due to their out dated misogynist religion; one that still subjugates half their followers, their womenfolk, to walk around like brainless dorks. Why else would anyone, of their own accord, walk around with their faces covered. A donkey perhaps?

Even the RC's (long since departed therefrom) no longer require their nuns to cover their heads, and they never forced them to cover their faces. Never ever!
