Australians don’t seem particularly interested in plans for the future beyond the next month. Also most Australians are self-centred interest only and show no interest at all in the nation.
They seem to be particularly prone to believing politicians making election promises, something that we’ve been told for 3000 years at least that we should not trust a bit.

However, the quality politicians may well reflect the quality of the base to choose from - we see on HC the stunning lack of comprehension of the most basic concepts

what better can we expect of leaders if the voters are this lacking and disinterested?
