You are so right! I have seen it many times. A Management/Board that does not communicate with its shareholders/market lays out its own demise.
This is why I think at-risk performance bonus payments embedded in their remuneration is essential. Communication or reporting timeframes against planned activities has to be one of their performance indicators.
