Unfortunately dealing with a deceased estate can take time.
The beneficiaries won't be able to make any decisions/deals regarding the land until its all settled. That could take months especially if the laws of the state require public notices in case other persons might have a claim against the estate. Just don't know what may be hiding in the closet.

My hope ATM is on some success in NZ. If that's a fizz and no news about the licence then maybe time to jump ship and cop a bit of a loss.

Of course above is all IMO and may be incorrect.
