I followed Qantas closely in 2014, a similar story. I remember every single clown wanted Alan Joyce's head, analyst, journalists, patriots. They spoke with a hatred about him, and whenever asked about why they said vague stuff like 'mismanagement...' 'undisciplined spending!...' 'lack of transparency'. It was hard not to guess it stemmed from an anti gay or anti Irish thing, or both at the time.

Now these same so called experts would line up to buy him a coffee and praise him for 'the great turnaround' like he's suddenly a genius because fuel prices are in his favor.

Every company stumbles, for different reasons. It's how they recover that is the true test of leadership.
