Presumably it would be comparable to heating.

You could connect it to hydronic heating (and stick the unit in the living room if you wanted maximum efficiency), so your winter gas bill might not be much more, and you'd get all your electricity (and then some) for free.

Actually, I'm surprised your heating only uses 3 times more gas than cooking. You must have fantastic insulation. Or cook a lot! I suppose hot water is in there too.
