Firstly I think the company is going to do very well in China with the powder I think that is well discussed by now.
What I am interested in is the fresh milk, I went to the local Coles last night and there was no own brand light left in any size and limited full in only 4ltr, most other brands where also low in numbers. The A2M section was full of all types, now this could be due to them having just restocked but has anyone else noticed this?
I them looked at the price on a 2ltr bottle (approx.)
A2m $4.70
Coles own $2
Coles A2m $4
Paul $5
So the price is higher that the cheap own brand as would be expected but comparable to the others, this made me wonder what the perception in Australia for the fresh milk is? I did buy the A2m light milk but it was for the missus.
What was the reason:
Shelves just restocked
People see it a costed too high
people not believe in it (lack of promotion)
I only think this was interesting as would be worse if it is due to the perception and people not believing, so better marketing in the US would be needed, as well as here.
Maybe an able explaining the A2 protein benefits etc.
