Wow a positive article by Siamrath - a fairly mainstream media outlet - about Akara vaccinating workers and their families. It says even though the mine has been shut for 4 years (it's actually almost 5 now), Akara has kept some staff who have been maintaining the plant and machinery and looking after the community. Everything has been maintained well so the mine could reopen immediately if the government and Akara are able to progress negotiations.
