Sorry but the suggestion that there is plenty of lithium to meet European EV demand is just WRONG...an innocent mistake perhaps? Instead, there are not enough lithium mines planned in Europe....not even if they were all expanded by a factor of two!

Morgan Stanley suggests Europe will require 700kt of lithium carbonate equivalent annually by 2030. As Europe currently has ZERO lithium production...they will need some 35 projects producing 20kt/year. Any shortfall to this will be made up from imports...probably for China! So much for building their own lithium supply chain.
