Well, it seems that the permit has been denied and Infinity is about to sell the project.

It says that the company is looking to sell the project. A prominent local politicians says that the permit has been denied and that a change in ownership won't change that.
"The company never had plans to build a battery production site in the area, so Infinity should tell the truth to the shareholders, an open pit mine will not be opened next to a world heritage city".

As I mentioned in earlier posts in this threat, without the possibility of extra economic development (battery production) the region would never accept to just open the mine due to the high risk / low reward perception.
