In a typical town of 20,000 homes:
– The baseload demand of homes and small businesses could all be supplied by 5,000 of our highly efficient BlueGEN fuel cells
– The non baseload demand can be supplied by flexible PEM fuel cells
– The medium sized commercial and small industrial businesses can be served by larger scale fuel cells
(100kW-500kW), including public sector buildings
– Energy intensive industries would continue to buy from centralised generators as they do today:
matching the scale of supply and demand
Transport benefits:
– Whether BEVs charged by fuel cell power or FCEVs, migration away from petrol and diesel offers lower localised pollution and less noise
