    I recall posting on this a long time ago stating that BB creek contained some of the richest gold in Vic. in 1862.. Where bb crk. met fern tree crk the the gold increased suggesting the better results come down from what was later called loch fyne mine ,look back to read the full story maybe 12 -15 months ago on the MCO thread , and you may find out why BB crk. was called that ..Cheers Vin
