    I think you're on to a good idea here.

    The economy is pretty much toast already. The businesses that are trying to stay open have so few customers that they may as well be closed. The sooner we can get this thing under control, the sooner we can start transitioning back to normal.

    Even with Australia's borders closed, we will still feel a lot of financial pain. However, it will be much better than the total shutdown that we have now.

    People have stopped spending because they don't have jobs and don't know the future.
    Once they start working again, they will start spending and that will fix many ( but not all ) of our problems.

    Also, if we can manage the virus to a number, we can then be confident of getting the health system going again. It is the out of control bit that is really hurting us. Once it's under ' control ', we know where the limits are thus allowing us to function.

    P.S. You were going so well until you mentioned rugby. Let's just change that to AFL and we can continue on. smile.png
