It wasn't that the Government intervened because of the protests. They intervened only after some local Members of Parliament LNP's lost their seat and the NP saw that their Political careers were at the crossroads and they put pressure on the Liberal counterparts to stop it before loosing any more seats. And stop it they did.......... for a miserable amount of compensation too.
I should know as I was and still am an holder in MEL.
Now, and going back to CTP and it's SoA. As I have stated on a few different occasions, the SoA's are becoming more and more the flavour of the month by the companies doing the bidding due their easiness of getting it through than a full scale takeover. Takeovers can prove to be a big headache for the bidding company, while the SoA does not.
Now we have another SoA on the table with Rubik Financial doing the same thing. Another SoA.... Reason that I know of that.???
Well it happens that I am an investors in Rubik Financial too. And guess what, the offer there is just as ridiculous as the one we have on our hand here with CTP.
Yep, as we get to learn as time goes on, the joys of playing in the sharemarket are endless.
