He was house sitting his daughter's home. Front door ripped off it's hinges. He confronted them once inside and it's believed a dumb bell was the weapon used. The attack was so frenzied that blood spattered the walls and ceiling. Critical head injuries, bleeding on the brain and a fractured eye socket and ribs. The prognosis was grim.
