It's madness!
I'm actually one of the lucky ones. In fact, from a purely selfish point of view, I think I'm better off. However, watching my children, at different stages of their lives, being impacted by the lockdown is pretty confronting.
I watched the news tonight and listened to the bright faced announcers reporting on the drones that are now circling the city to ensure no one's mask has slipped and no one steps on a beach. I haven't spoken to anyone in my suburb who knows anyone who has died of covid-19, but no surprise there. I heard reports of mounted police in the nearby main street keeping a watchful eye on any potentially dissenting locals. Gloomy stuff!
