It would be fraud if it was overt, but I do wonder if results and interpretations can be massaged. Just like the seeded journalist at the announcement of the takeover "obviously some drills can go bad, so obviously this offer is a no brainer." Not sure if empty fear mongering, or if there will be subtle actions to supress price action with a great deal of plausible deniability.
