First hand word from the Mallee in North West Victoria is that Barley will be ripe by as early as next week if we get more hot weather.
Given their size at this stage (about 1/2 inch) Locusts shouldn't be a huge problem before then.
Wheat might be more of a problem as it ripens later (for those non farmers out there)
Any updates on other areas of the country? Actually, just the East Coast!!
