Perforated the Bireno reservoir one week ago.
If it was not communicating with the wellbore, we would know by now.( Even though ADX management have a poor history of announcements that share holders of other Oil & Gas explorers are treated to.)
Recap the well history.
Predrill there were three cretacious reservoirs thought to be prospective. (Abiod, Douleb, Bireno) Oil was found in the Bireno the other reservoirs were absent.
To me that points to very poor seismic tie lines from other producing wells in the area. 3D seismic is required before any step out drilling. Gulfsands will be the operator if well test is commercial. They have indicated the need for 3D seismic.
The cross over point for the oil gradient and water gradient is approx 1180 metres. The perforating gun assembly bottom was positioned at this point. Above this point the Bireno reservior is likely to be mostly water free. The available reservoir appears to be in excess of 80 metres from crossover.30metres is interpreted to be of good oil producing porosity.
As we are in to the well test by a week from perforation, my guess is that all is well.
A series of pressure and flow measurements are taken over various well shut and openings to measure pressure build up and flow changes to evaluate the commercial flow ability.
They may well be in a simulated lift using Nitrogen or even to the point of acid wash and Nitrogen simulated lift.
Whatever the case all tests must be done to fully evaluate the wells ability to flow commercially and hence the value and size of the Sidi Dhaher oil resource.
I point out this is only my logical assumption.
