Waste of time suggesting suing the shorters. As much as they work against the interests of many shareholders is it illegal to short stock? Its a market strategy that is widely used. Maybe if companies performed better on the board and Im not just suggesting just SGH here then the runs on the board will speak for themselves. Companies report bi annually in many cases so there is a significant amount of time between official announcements for HC posters to speculate, share comments, compare egos and challenge the system and each other.......bottom line is its just noise in most cases.
The simple fact is that any acquisition takes time to bed down and just because another company didn't achieve all positive results with their global expansion doesn't mean the next company trying will fail. At the time time just because one failed, doesn't guarantee the next will succeed.
People feel better about themselves making money and letting others hear about it. Trust plays an important part in decision making but ultimately each decision comes down to risk vs reward and how well people wish to sleep at night.
