The front-end of L-Max (ie, adding acid, steam to the lepidolite and digesting) has been modified/replaced with S-Max. I would assume that the steam is produced from natual gas, however that is an assumption. Besides that, my understanding is the rest of the process should run using electricity only, however that is my assumption.
Regarding the steam, it is also plausible that this is generated from the Sulfuric acid plant. Note below.

Now, I am not saying we will derive our steam from Gulf Fluor, however it is plausible given that the production of Sulfuric acid is highly exorthermic, ie, gives off heat. If you recover the heat, which clearly Gulf Fluor have done, then you can use this to produce steam.
