That's an interesting suggestion, lp. Source? Or is that something you can infer from the FDA site with a bit of judicious digging?

While there may be more than this, (and I've said this before I know) my guess would be that the FDA would say something similar for FXS as they did for Rett: IIb paediatric trial followed by III. My guess is that the FXS path timeline would be like the Rett timeline but one year later. We're a bit hamstrung here because we don't really know how good the data is.

Some handwaving speculation: if the FDA meeting really is now/soon, maybe they could start a IIb trial before the end of the year, and it would follow on straight from the Rett trial.

The other Rett trial sites are taking a little while to get up, hopefully recruitment is going well at the current five. sites. At least we already have two more than the previous Rett trial ever had, and two of the five sites are in Boston and Chicago, which are major population centres.
