Really - I hold a big GXY parcel and on board with the whole lithium economy, but lithium is a storage technology and oil is an energy source (despite being bottled sunshine from many years ago).
What is going to charge your lithium batteries? It is not solar for most of the world for many years/decades.
Not only that, liquid hydrocarbons enable manufacture of plastic and gas enables manufacture of fertiliser (without which billions of people would starve), neither of which lithium can do.
There will be a substantial transition period where both oil/gas and lithium are needed.
