Now this statement was written by JD and needs some explaining:

The reasons why are basically has not that much to do with exploring and finding,most of those areas in that time frame were countries like Angola ,sth Africa ,Russia were all going through forms of civil unrest,wars,GFC and so on...its not the fact there are NO new diamond mines getting found or the odds of finding are so minuscule, it was more due to the reduction in exploring and the general price of diamonds in that period.So in reflection now you see actually a bullish effect to exploration with the key areas opening up to the world.It holds great weight now buying at the curve of the 10 yr cycle.
