champ,
yes movement of the s/p is predictable
It goes
Up
or
Down
or stays flat
Easy.
Yes m/c 250 A$ huuuuhhhh sooo much. The s/p performance of say last 1-2 years was moderate in absolue terms. It was absolutely outstanding in relative terms. Most U Juniors are 70-90 down year on year.
So we had already ~200 mio A$ in the past. But please realize at those times RS discovery was just a possibility now we have the following reality
1. RS is shaping up as one of most important U discoveries wordwide
2. RIO (I mean RIO TINTO) bought a stage.
So for trading, no idea maybe another stock is better for that. For investing in U with very high reward potential, EXT is the best thing.
If u need cash in the short term, then EXT is the wrong choice. If you have cash (not only once but on a, say, monthly basis), put your orders in regularly, you should be able to accumulate with a fair price over time. With that you should be able to get really outstanding returns in the next years. I bought Inmet back in 2001 and did hold them 6 years. I expect a similiar thing for EXT.
Enjoy,
