London metals, miners fly


MINERS in London continued this week’s impressive run overnight as metals rose.

Glencore jumped by 5.5% to close over £2 for the first time since July 2015. The stock is up by nearly 10% this week.

Nickel jumped 3% to $US10,615 per tonne, around a six-week high, after it was reported that the Philippines would close another 12 mines, mostly in nickel.
