Price of Oil is always one of the major factors mentioned when estimating our SP at the time of buyout. But if we're talking about the actual likelihood of being bought out, wouldn't the POO in todays environment ( in an uptrend after a major dip) be seen as attractive?
As can probably be seen, I'm no expert....but the big oil companies are. They'd have a pretty good idea of which way the wind is blowing, why wait until POO is at $80/$90.
This buyout situation might come earlier then we think.
