For the first time in that London presentation.....Bob suggested maybe up to 30mt at about 8% zinc at Napier Range. (huge deposit) Also a 15 mt reserve of zinc in ore at Silvie Hills..to the north (check spelling) which Triako own.

See some back ground here:NOTE February Tech deal, just before the big zinc price runup......and check out the lack of supply Tech has, 250 km away at Lennard Range.

    CBH into Teck's Lennard ground

ZINC producer CBH Resources has farmed into ground held by Teck Cominco in the Napier Ranges within the Lennard Shelf zinc-lead district in Western Australia, around 250km from the shelved Pillara mine and mill complex.

The Napier Range tenements cover an area of 112 square kilometres and are reportedly underlain by limestone units that host the zinc-lead deposits of the Lennard Shelf elsewhere.

CBH managing director Bob Besley told MiningNews.net the ground had seen little work since Shell was in the area during the early 90s and the immediate focus for the company would be to define drilling targets.

"We've commissioned an airborne helicopter geophysical survey and that should commence as soon as they get the right weather," Besley said.

"We'll also be using some very detailed surface geochemistry with a hand held instrument called a Niton…. and that's introducing a whole new tool to the exploration on that part of the Lennard shelf.

"Once the magnetics are done and the season is clear we'll be on the ground drilling."

    Teck identifies Lennard Shelf obstacles

APART from the zinc price, Teck Cominco has identified the lack of resources as the key issue for the Lennard Shelf project in Western Australia's northwest, after the company recorded minimal success following two solid years of drilling.

Speaking at the Diggers and Dealers forum in Kalgoorlie today, Teck president and chief executive Don Lindsay said a two-year drill campaign with joint venture partner Falconbridge had failed to prove up additional resources in the area.

The operation will be working at a reduced rate of 1 million tonnes per annum producing in the order of 70,000-80,000 tonnes of zinc-in-concentrate per annum, with the first concentrate expected to hit the market in March 2007.

At full capacity, the mill has a rate of 3Mtpa producing more than 200,000tpa of zinc-in-concentrate.
