It's funny. No-one talks about loneliness any more. It seems to have become one of those taboo words, words that have fallen out of the dictionary: lonely fat pride honour etc
they have been replaced with 'obese' and 'depressed'.
It seems to me that being obese is zeitgeisted as a disease, something people can't help... .. and well, depression, there's a drug that can help with that...more money for the drug companies...
I always think of the song by The Beatles Eleanor Rigby - just so sad and poignant, breaks my heart.
I always think that we should always be kind and smile to others, the smallest kindnesses and words can make the world of difference to a lonely person....
