I've alerted you to some commentary from an excellent analyst who is more often right than wrong and my word that's got a negative response.

Oh well, just turn on CNBC and listen to the feel good spinners. Did the feel good spinners ever alert you in advance to the sub prime fiasco and the collapse in the Dow last year?

No way. Everything was fine. The US economy was bubbling along, growing nicely. There was no recession.

Then we're officially told many months after the event that the US recession started in the December 2007 quarter!
