In my view, BGS is working very hard in laying down a strategy after initial success in Natiola. However, there are three sticking points to choose from; one is start mining and continue with the next stage of exploration down south or to raise capital for further exploration down south and the third one is to continue with Auger drilling (shallow and low cost) without raising capital until market sentiments towards gold improves significantly.
None of the three options is easy. First option requires significant interest from Randgold, which is not there at this stage in low market sentiments and, BGS does not have mining infrastructure in place to mine on its own.
More so, a lot of work is required on the ground and, it is important for BGS to continue with the drilling/exploration and keep finding new and persuasive gold deposits down to the track. Kevin too needs to show leadership to ensure BGS stays strong.
Either way BGS has long way to go before it becomes a force to reckon with in the gold mining industry. If Kevin believes capital raising is the only way forward then go ahead as soon as possible. BGS SP may go down in the short term but bounce back later after BGS finds significant gold carrying deposits.
I am sure, patience would greatly be rewarded later.
