Sub-underwriters bought the stock. Canaccord isn't on the hook here. Canaccord simply took a fee and will be happy to do it again.
But your comments do apply to the sub-underwriters. They will be in profit and you'd expect will be happy to buy more of the company. They'd have to be a chump charlie as dbd25 puts it not to add again after approvals.
